Bespoke kitchen and sliding panels
In this renovation of an 18th century town house in the medieval village of Najac, Architect Aquilino Torrao combined traditional materials and lovingly restored features with striking contemporary architecture.
combined traditional materials and lovingly restored features with striking contemporary architecture.
Atelier Schroeter worked closely with the architect to produce many elements of the refurbished interior and several bespoke light pieces.
Here on the ground floor we constructed sliding steel screens and a made to measure kitchen with stainless steel worktop and brass panelled doors. The kitchen aligns harmoniously with the slate lined stair barrier which references the tiled roofs found in the village. The interior is completed by several bespoke light pieces in folded metal, the shapes and forms forming a recurring motif and contrast with the renovated stone walls.
